Foo Wenfeng is a full-time Singaporean artist whose practice centres on capturing the quiet poetry of everyday life. Rooted deeply in local landscapes and familiar scenes, his work explores nostalgia, familial warmth, and the fleeting beauty of moments that often go unnoticed. His paintings are imbued with a dream-like atmosphere, evoking memories both personal and collective, where time seems to pause.

In his 2018 solo exhibition, Dreams of the Garden City, Wenfeng drew inspiration from the Singapore Botanic Gardens, translating tender observations into scenes of old couples in quiet conversation and children’s laughter echoing through green spaces. These works reflect an enduring fascination with human connection and the emotional resonance of place—an intimate portrayal of Singapore’s evolving yet deeply rooted identity.

Birdsong Rhapsody (2021) marked a natural evolution in his practice, extending his gaze to the fauna of Singapore. Through vivid depictions of local birdlife, he presented a vibrant microcosm of the nation's biodiversity, further enriching his exploration of memory, nature, and belonging.

Working predominantly in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, Wenfeng’s expressive brushwork and textured surfaces invite the viewer into a sensory dialogue. His paintings do not merely depict scenes—they communicate through feeling, offering a visual language that resonates beyond words, touching something elemental within the soul.

In addition to his solo exhibitions, Wenfeng actively contributes to group shows and art fairs, cementing his presence in the contemporary Singapore art scene.
